2. GET YOURSELF A TRAVEL ADAPTER

Different countries may have different type of power socket. Certain hotels might provide you with one but most budget hotels do not. Hence, to make your life easier, just get yourself a universal travel adapter! It is a one-time investment that could last you for the rest of your travelling life. It’s small, easy to pack and you don’t have to wait in line to get the adapter from the hotel (if they even have one).

3. BRING EXTRA CASH

It is always good to overestimate the total cost and expenses that you might have in another country. Certain places, like the local market, might not accept credit/debit card. So, extra cash would come in handy. Whether you have them in your own currency or the local, it doesn’t matter. You can always find a money changer there to convert to their local currency. If you don’t end up spending all of the cash, you could always convert them back once you are back home. No harm done right?

4. CHECK THE WEATHER AND TEMPERATURE

This is especially important if you are planning to travel to another continent. Traveling to a cold climate country with ill-equipped clothing could cost you a bomb once you reach there. Besides that, it’s no fun either if you plan a beach holiday during a rainy season, right? So, always keep track of the local weather until the very last minute. Weather these days can be a bit fickle. It is always better to be cautious than sorry!
